The major components of a computer are: the motherboard, the CPU, RAM, the Hard Drive, the power supply, the Graphics card, the CD drive
What is Hardware? 2.The machines, wiring, and other physical components of a computer or other electronic system
What is Software? The programs and other operating information used by a computer
What is the HEART of the computer? The motherboard
What is the motherboard? serves to connect all of the parts of a computer together. The CPU, memory, hard drives, optical drives, video card, sound card and other ports and expansion cards all connect to the motherboard directly or via cables.
What is the CPU? is responsible for interpreting and executing most of the commands from the computer's hardware and software.
What is the RAM? provides space for your computer to read and write data to be accessed by the CPU.
What is the Graphice Card? also known as a video card, is a piece of hardware installed in a computer that is responsible for rendering the image on the computer’s monitor or display screen.
What is the Power Supply? the component that supplies power to a computer.
What is the Hard Disk? stores and provides relatively quick access to large amounts of data on an electromagnetically charged surface or set of surfaces.
What is the Optical Drive? retrieve and/or store data on optical discs like CDs, DVDs, and BDs
