LU POINT Locations

Deadman Lung Channel Point Location Descriptions

LU 1 ZhongFu "Middle Palace" On the lateral aspect of the chest, in the first intercostal space, 6 fun lateral to the midline, 1 cun inferior to YunMen LU-2.
LU 2 YunMen "Cloud Gate" On the antero-lateral aspect of the chest, below the lateral extremity of the clavicle, 6 fun lateral to the midline, in the center of the hollow of the delto-pectoral triangle.
LU 3 TianFu "Palace of Heaven" On the antero-lateral aspect of the upper arm, 3 cun inferior to the axillary fold and 6 cun superior to Chize LU-5, in the depression b/t the lateral border of the biceps brachii muscle and the shaft of the humerus.
LU 4 XiaBai "Clasping the White" On the antero-lateral aspect of the upper arm, 4 cun inferior to the axillary fold and 5 cun superior to Chize LU-5, in the depression b/t the lateral border of the biceps brachia muscle and the shaft of the humerus.
LU 5 Chize "Cubit Marsh" On the cubital crease of the elbow, in the depression at the radial side of the tendon of biceps brachii.
LU 6 KongZui "Maximum Opening" On the flexor aspect of the forearm, 7 cun proximal to TaiYuan LU-9, on the line connecting TaiYuan LU-9 with Chize LU-5.
LU 7 LieQue "Broken Sequence" On the lateral aspect of the forearm, approx. 1.5 fun proximal to Yangxi LI-5, in the cleft b/t the tendons of brachioradialis and abductor pollicis longus.
LU 8 JingQu "Channel Gutter" Above the wrist, 1 cun proximal to TaiYuan LU-9, on the line connecting TaiYuan LU-9 with KongZui Lu-6, in the depression at the base of the styloid process of the radius and on the radial side of the radial artery.
LU 9 TaiYuan "Supreme Abyss" At the wrist joint, in the depression b/t the radial artery and the tendon of abductor pollicis longs, level with ShenMen HT-7 (the proximal border of the pisiform bone).
LU 10 YuJi "Fish Border" On the thenar eminence of the hand, in a depression b/t the midpoint of the shaft of the first metacarpal bone and the thenar muscles.
LU 11 ShaoShang "Lesser Shang" On the extensor aspect of the thumb, at the junction of lines drawn along the radial border of the nail and the base of the nail, approx 0.1 fun from the corner of the nail.
