What do Store-based retailers do? Operates and conducts business.
What is a department store? A store that sells a wide selection of merchandise
Does department stores, separate various merchandise lines or do they gather merchandise? Separates various merchandise
What’s a convenience store? A retail outlet that sells snack food items
What’s a supermarket? Department stores of food retailing
Does general merchandise retailers sell small or large variety of merchandise? Large variety of merchandise.
Do specialty stores have limited or high range of products? Limited range of products
Is an OFF-Price store low prices or high prices? Low prices
What’s a warehouse club? A very large store that offers discount retailing
What a supercenter? A combination of a large discount department store and a discount supermarket
What’s a food retailer? A store that sells food and related goods
What’s a outline store? A store that sells overpriced or returned items at low prices
Service retailers do what? Sells something that is intangible or does not last long
Hospitality and lodging services do what? Provide you with a place to live in comfort for one or several days
What do repair services do? They provide services that take special training.
What are personal services? Barbers, Dance teachers, hairstylists
What does recreation and tourism service do for is? Provides leisure activates
What are transportation services? Business that moves people
What are security services? Services that protect your home
What does rental service do? Provides a way to use hard goods that will have onetime or limited use without having to purchase anything
