Algebraic Expression When numbers and variables are combined using the operations of arithmetic.
Algebraic Sentence consists of expressions related with a verb. Ex.. =, <, >, (less/greater than or equal to), (is not equal to), (is approximately equal to).
Rule for the Order of Operations 1. 1:Perform operations within parentheses (), brackets [], or other grouping symbols, like square root symbols or fraction bars, from the inner set of symbols to the outer set. Inside the grouping symbols, use the order given in rules 2, 3, and 4.
Rule for the Order of Operations 2. 2:Take powers.
Rule for the Order of Operations 3. 3:Multiply and Divide in order from left to right.
Rule for the Order of Operations 4. 4: Add and subtract in order from left to right.
