What are the Spleen channel's functions? 1. Transformation& transportation 2. controls(makes) blood 3.Controls muscles& four limbs 4. Ascending function of Qi 5.Opens to the mouth 6.Manifests in the lips 7. Houses the 'Yi'(Thoughts- memory, concentration)
Sp-1 On the medial side of the big toe,0.1 cun from the corner(of the medial border and the base) of the nail
SP-2 On the medial side of the big toe, in the depression distal& inferior to the first metatarso-phalangeal joint
Sp-3 On the medial side of foot in the depression proximal & inferior tothe head of the first metartarsal bone.
Sp-4 On the medial side of the foot, in the depression distal & inferior to the base of the fist metacarpal bone.
Sp-5 On the medial side of the ankle,in the depression which lies at the junction of straight lines drawn along the anterior& inferior borders of the medial malleolus.
Sp-6 On the medial side of the lower leg, 3 cun superior to the prominence of the medial malleolus, in a depression close to the medial crest of tibia.
Sp-7 On the medial side of the lower leg, 3 cun superior to Sp-6, in a depression posterior to the medial crest of the tibia (on the line connecting Sp-9 & the medial malleolus)
Sp-8 On the medial side of the lower leg, 3 cun inferior to Sp-9, on the line connecting Sp-9 & the medial malleolus)
Sp-9 On the medial side of the lower leg, in a depression in the angle formed by the medial condyle of the tibia & the posterior border of the tibia
Sp-10 2 cun proximal to the superior border of the patella, in the depression on the bulge of the vastus medialis muscle, directly above Sp-9.
What's the cun measurement used for Sp-6 to Sp-8? 15 cun between the popliteal crease & the medial malleolus
What's the measurement of the patella? 2 cun
Sp-11 On the medial side of thigh, 6 cun above Sp-10, on the line drawn from Sp-10 to Sp-12 (midway between tibio-femoral joint & Sp 12)
Sp-12 Superior to the lateral end of inguinal groove, at the level of the upper border of symphysis pubis, 3.5 cun lateral to Ren-2
Sp-13 0.7 cun superior to Sp-12, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midiine
Sp-14 1.3 cun inferior to Sp-15, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline, on the lateral border of rectus abdominus muscle.(Landmark: find 3 cun below the umbilicus at ASIS& roughly half of that)
Sp-15 4 cun lateral to the center of the umbilicus, lateral border of the rectus abdominus muscle
Sp-16 3 cun superior to the the center of umbiicus, and 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline.
Sp-17 In the 5th intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline
Sp-18 In the 4th intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline
Sp-19 In the 3rd intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline
Sp-20 In the 2nd intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline
Sp-21 On the mid-axillary line, in the 6th(or 7th) intercostal line.
