The Role of CSS versus the role of HTML HTML tells a Web browser how the content is organized on the page, whereas CSS tells the browser how it should look
What CSS rules include two main parts: a selector, and one or more declarations
Define CSS declaration consists of a property and a value. always ends with a semicolon, and declaration groups are surrounded by curly brackets
Define CSS property the style attribute you want to change. Each property has a value. assigned to a selector in order to manipulate its style (ex: color, font)
Define CSS selector the HTML element you want to style. (ex: h1, body)
ID used to specify a style for a single, unique element. uses the id attribute of the HTML element, and is defined with a "#".
Class used to specify a style for a group of elements. uses the HTML class attribute, and is defined with a "."
