what is a convenience product? it is a relatively inexpensive item that merits little shopping effort
what is a shopping product? it is a product that requires comparison shopping because it is usually more expensive and found in fewer stores
what is a specialty product? its a particular item for which consumers search extensively and are reluctant to accept substitutes
what is a unsought product? it is a product unknown to the potential buyer or unknown to the potential buyer or a product that the buyer does not actively seek
what is a product? a product is everything, both favorable and unfaorable, that a person receives in an exchange
what is a business product? a product used to manufacture other goods or services, to facilitate an organizations operations, or toresell to other customers
what is a consumer product? a product bought to satisfy an individuals personal wants
what is a product item? a specific version of a product that can be designated as a distinct offering among among an organizations products
what is a product line? a group of closely related product items
what is a product mix? all products that an organization sells
what is a product mix width? a number of product lines and organization offers
what is a product line depth? the number of product items in a product line
what is planned obsolesence? the praqctice of modifying products so those that have already been sold become obsolete before they actually need replacement
what is product line extension? adding additional products to an existing product line in order to compte more broadly in the industry
what is a brand? a name, term, symbol, design, or combination there of that identifies a sellers products and differentiates them from competitor products
what is a generic brand? a no frills, no brand name, low cost product that simply identified by its product category
what is a brand mark? the elements of a brand that cant be spoken
what is brand equity? the value of a company and brand names
waht is global brand? a brand where at least 20% of a products is sold outside its some country
what is manufacturers brand? the brand name of the manufacuter
what is a private brand? a brand name owned by a wholesaler or a retailer
what is a individual brand? using different brand names of different products
what is a trademark? the many parts of brand and associated symbols qualify for trademark production
what is universal product codes? a series of thick and thin vertical lines (barcaodes), redable by computerized optical scanners, that represent numbers used to track products
what is a service? the result of applying human or mechanical efforts to people or objects
what is intangibility? search qualities, experience qualities, credence qualities
what is reliability? the ability to perfom the service right the first time
what is responsiveness? the ability to provide prompt service, the knowledge and courtesy of employees
what is empathy? caring, individualized attention to customers
what are tanagibles? the physical evidence of service
