Patient Safety -Not perform procedures on paients unless instructed and properly authorized -provide privacy -alway knock -explain procedure before begin -observe patient closely during any procedures -check all areas for safety hazards -observe all safety checkpoints
Safety checkpoints -put in confortable position -side rails elevated -bed at lowest level -wheels locked -call signal within reach -open privacy curtains -area neat and clean -no hazards present
Safety HCT must: be aware of personal and patient safety; follow all safety policies; have a legal responsibility to protect patient from harm and injury
