---|---|
Area | The number of square units covering a surface of a figure. |
Base (of a figure) | The dimensions that is perpendicular to the height in a shape. |
Circumference | The distance around a circle of its perimeter. |
Cubic Units | Volume is measured and labeled in these kids of units. |
Diameter | The distance across a circle though its center. |
Dimensions | The measurements of a figure's edges (length, width, height) |
Height | The dimensions that is perpendicular to the base of a shape. |
Perimeter | The distance around a geometric figure or the sum of all its sides. |
Pi | The ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle; approximately 3.14 |
Radius | The distance from the center of the circle to the edge. |
Rectangular Prism | A three dimensional figure that has two parallel congruent rectangular bases and four lateral faces. |
Square Units | Area is measured and labeled in these kinds of units |
Volume | The amount of space that a three-dimensional object contains measured in cubic units. |
