What is a saturated color? | colors with no white or black in them |
What three groups make up the color wheel? | primary colors, secondary colors, and tertiary colors |
What is a tint? | a satuated color that is mixed with white |
What is a shade? | a saturated color mixed with black |
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? | red orange and yellow |
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? | blue green and violet |
What are the five neutral colors? | black grey white tan and brown |
What are the six types of color harmonies? | Monochromatic Analogous Complementary Triadic Split Complementary Neutral |
What is a monochromatic color harmony? | using tints and shades of only one color |
What is an analougus color harmony? | using three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel |
What is a complementary color harmony? | Two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel |
What is a triadic color harmony? | Three colors that are located within equal distance of each other |
What is a split complementary scheme? | using any color and the two colors located next to that colors complement |
What is a neutral color scheme? | Any combination of Blacks, Greys, Whites, Browns, & Tans |
