Read Only Memory means: informaiton on the disc is permanent and cannot be added, edited, or deleted

CD-R or DVD-R Recordable
Recordable Means: information on the disc can be added, but once on the disk it is permanent
Used if you want to burn data and never make changes, such as custom music CD or video of family trip or a back-up of important data files CD-R or DVD-R
CD-RW or DVD-RW Recordable and Writeable
Recordable and Writeable means: Information on the discs can have files added, edited and deleted from the disc over and over again
Used most frequently for keeping working documents CD-RW or DVD-RW
Flash Drive Most commonly used in Cameras, Fax Machines and other electronic devices to save photos, music or other data
Memory chip is protected by a small plastic case with a USB slop at the top to pulg into the computer Flash Drive
Flash drives continue to grow due to their affordability
Flash Drive Can be purchased in a variety of sizes: 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GB or more
Invented in the 1950s Hard Disks
