| cilia | short hairlike projects used for movement |
| flagella | long hairlike projects used for movement |
| nucleus | the brains or control center for the cell; contains chromosomes |
| chromosomes | make of DNA, which contain the coded information needed for making various parts and controlling the activities of the cell |
