| topic | the general category of class of ideas, often stated in a word or phrase, to which the ideas of a text as a whole belong |
| trait | a distinguishing feature, as of a character in a story |
| transition words/phrases/expressions | words and phrases that indicate relationships between ideas in a paragraph or composition |
| validity/reliablity | evaluating whether or not information in a text is valid (correct) and reliable (dependable) |
| word relationships | analyses of word pairs used in a text that are connected by either a similar or opposite meaning |
| workplace document | materials that are produced or used within a work setting, usually to aid in the functioning of the workplace (ex. applications, office memos, training manuals) |
