database collection of data organized in a manner that allows access, retrieval, and use of that data
relational database database that stores data in tables that consists of rows and columns, w/ each having a primary key and each column having a unique name

use of formulas in excel a formula performs calculations on the data in the worksheet and displays the resulting value in a cell, usually the cell containing the formula = B9+B10+B11...

CAD software (Computer-Aided Design) a sophisticated type of application software that assists a professional user in creating engineering, architectural, and scientific designs - eliminates the laborious manual drafting that design processes
file a named collection of stored data, instructions, or information
query is used to request specific data from a database
accounting software allows users to write and print checks, track accounting activity, and update balances
Image Editing Software provides the capabilities of paint software and also includes the capability to enhance and modify existing images and pictures
video editing software allows pros to modify a segment of a video, called a clip
webpage authoring software helps users of all skill levels create webpages that include graphical images, video, audio, animation, and other special effects with interactive content -allows users to organize, manage, and maintain websites
Educational software software that teachers a particular skill
Distance Learning (DL) is the delivery of education at one location while the learning takes place at other locations. Provide time, distance, and place advantages for students who live far from a college campus or work full time.
