Math Connects Chapter 9

Equivalent Fractions Fractions that have the same value
GCF (Greatest Common Factor) The greatest of the common factor of two or more numbers.
LCM (Least Common Multiple) The smallest whole number greater than 0 that is a multiple of two or more numbers.
Simplest Form A fraction in which the GCF of the numerator and the denominator is 1
Fraction A number that describes the relationship of a part to a whole
Prime Number Any whole number with exactly two factors, 1 and itself.
Composite Number A whole number that has more than two factors.
LCD (Least Common Denominator) The least least common multiple of two or more denominators.
