center of dilation The point of intersection of lines from each pair of corresponding vertices in a dilation.
congruent angles Angles that have the same measure.
conversion factor a fraction whose numerator and denominator represent the same quantity but use different units
cross product the product of numbers on the diagonal when comparing two ratios
dilation it is a transformation that changes the size but not the shape or figure
enlargement A scale drawing or model that is larger than the object.
equivalent ratio ratios that make the same comparison
proportion ratios that are equivalent are said to be proportional
indirect measurements using figures and proportions to find a measure
scale model a three-dimensional model that accurately represents a solid object.
similar figures that have the same shape, but not necessarily the same size.
scale gives a ratio of the dimensions in the drawing to the dimensions of a object.
