Job Interview

QuestionAnswer
Interview A talk between an employer and a person trying to get a job.
Interviewer The person that does the interview.
Telephone Interview The first step before going on a formal interview.
Interviewee The person getting interviewed.
Personal interview Actually going to a place of business for an interview.
Follow up letter A thank you note for taking the time to interview.
Appearance Looking nice for the interview: shower, clean clothes, comb hair....
Appropriate Behaviors that you should and should not do.
Arrival The time you get to an interview; it should be early. (At least 5 minutes)
Attitude The positive way you appear to others.
Impression The first thing they think of you before they really get to know you.
Personality Behavior and what you are like.
Questions Things you should answer and ask at an interview.
Skills Things that you are good at.
Directions Orders that should be followed.
Motivation Energy, reason and willingness to do something.
Prepared Ready, birth certificate, social security number, etc.
Experiences Job and skills that you have done before.
Personal information Questions such as age, sex, etc.
Qualifications Past education and accomplishments that qualify you for the job.
Resume One page of information about you. Includes experience, education, jobs....
Transcript An official record from school that includes attendance, class rank, and grades.
