Beaker Used to hold and heat liquids. Multipurpose and essential in the lab.
Bottle Can be used for storage,for mixing and for displaying.
Crucible Used to heat small quantities to very high temperatures.
Erlenmeyer Flask Used to heat and store liquids.
Evaporating dish Used to heat and evaporate liquids.
Food Coloring Used in many experiments to show color change and to make the experiment more exciting.
Funnel A piece of equipment that is used in the lab but is not confined to the lab.
Scoopula Used for moving small amounts of solid from place to place.
Mortar and Pestle Used to crush solids into powders for experiments, usually to better dissolve the solids.
Paper Towels Essential to the lab environment. They will be used almost every lab.
Pipet Used for moving small amounts of liquid from place to place.
Ring stand Used to hold items being heated.
Stir rod Used to stir things.
Stopper Can have holes for thermometers and for other probes that may be used.
Test tube brush Used to easily clean the inside of the test tube.
Test tube holder Used to hold test tubes when they are hot.
Test tube rack Used to hold test tubes while reactions happen in them or while they are not needed.
Thermometer Used to take temperature of solids, liquids, and gases.
Tongs Used to hold many different thing such as flasks, crucibles, and evaporating dishes when they are hot.
Watch Glass Used to hold solids when being weighed or transported.
