Food Chain the ways in which the organisms in an ecosystem interact with one another according to what they eat
Decomposer consumer that breaks down the tissues of dead organisms
Food Web shows interactions among many different food chains in a single ecosystem
Energy Pyramid shows the amount of energy available to pass form one level of a food chain to the next
Lentic related to or living in still waters
Wetland land where water saturation is the dominant factor determining the nature of the soil development and the plant and animal communities
Biome a large scale ecosystem. It contains multiple ecosystems.
Climate Zone A region in which yearly patterns of temperature, rainfall, and the amount of sunlight are similar throughout
Lotic related to or living in moving water
