Math Connects Chpt 6

Coordinate Grid A grid that has numbers along the horizontal and vertical axis
Solution The value of a variable that make an equation true
Origin The point where two axis of a coordinate grid meet.
X-Coordinate The first part of an order pair that tells how far left or right a point is located.
Y-Coordinate The second part of an order pair that indicates how far above or below the x-axis the point is located.
Ordered Pair A pair of number that are the coordinates of a point in a coordinate plane or grid in this order; horizontal coordinate, vertical coordinate.
Equation A mathematical sentence that contains an equal sign,=, indicating the the left side of the equal sign has the same value as the right side.
