seizure treatment life-long. maintain serum levels to prevent reoocurence
seizure intervention #1 cause of reoccurence is RX non-compliance
Alzheimer's treatment raise neurotransmitter- acetylcholine
Alzheimer's interventions structured environment, familiar objects
Parkinson's treatment raise neurotransmitter- dopamine
comfort/pain interventions assess pain: PQRST, pain scale
pain treatment ladder approach: non-opioids -> weak opioids -> stronger opioids
gout treatment lower uric acid levels -> lowers pain and inflammation
sleep treatment avoid factors that impede sleep non-RX alternatives: melatonin, relaxation therapy, etc.
elimination treatment try natural means first-> increase oral intake fiber, H2O, increase exercise
