Point A location
Line A stream of points
Collinear Points that lie on the same line.
Noncollinear Points that do not lie on the same line.
Postulate A statement that is accepted as true without proof.
Theorem A statement that has been proven.
Plane A flat surface that extends indefinitely in all directions.
Coplanar Points that lie in the same plane.
Noncoplanar Point that do not lie in the same plane.
Space Set of all points (has three dimensions: length, width, and depth)
Segment A piece of a line consisting of two distinct end points and all the points between them.
Ray Part of a line that consists of one end point.
Opposite Ray Collinear rays with the same end point.
Angle Is formed by two rays with the same end point. The end point joining the two rays is called the vertex of the angle.
