Standard form The usual way to write a number using digits
Word Form The way you read or say a number
Expanded Form Shows the value of each digit
Number LIne A line with numbers on it in order at regular intervals

Commutative Property of Addition order in which #'s are added does not change sum (3+1 = 4, 1 + 3 = 4)
= Equal to
Associative Property of Addition The way in which #'s are grouped when added does not change sum ((6+5) + 2, 6+(5+2))
Digit Any of the symbols used to write numbers
Place Value Chart A chart that shows the value of the digit in a number
Identity Property of Addition Sum of any # + 0= the same number (9+0 = 9, 0 + 9 = 9)
Rounding By rounding to find the nearest value of a number based on a given place value
Estimate An answer close to the exact number.
Minuend In subtraction, this is the larger number
Subtrahend Lesser number in a subtraction problem, taken away from the Minuend
Difference Subtraction Answer (Minuend - Subtrahend)
Mode The number or numbers that occur(s) most often in a set of data.
Median The number in the middle when the numbers have been arranged from least to greatest.
Outlier The item in a set of data that is either much larger or much smaller than the rest of the data. A set may not have any of these.
Line Plot A way to show data using X's above a number line.
Bar Graph Used to compare data by using bars of different heights to represent values
Survey A way to collect data.
