Science Photo./Resp.

7th grade Science Photosynthesis/Cellular Respiration.

QuestionAnswer
Plants Only thing that does Photosynthesis
What is the Product of Photosynthesis? Oxygen and Glucose
What does Photosynthesis need for this to happen? Sunlight, Water, and Carbon Dioxide.
Why does Photosynthesis happen? To make food for the plant to get energy.
What does the plant do with the extra stored energy from Photosynthesis? It stores its extra energy as cellulose, which builds cell walls, and uses it as starch.
Where does Photosynthesis occur? In the Chloroplast of the cells, which has chlorophyll in it.
When does Photosynthesis occur? Only during the day because it has to have sunlight to occur.
How does Sunlight, Water, and Carbon Dioxide form into Glucose and Oxygen? It chemicaly combines.
Humans, Animals, and Plants The things that do Cellular Respiration.
What is the product of Cellular Respiration? Water,Carbon Dioxide, and ATP energy.
What does the ATP energy source do? The ATP is source that gives energy to the cells, and the plants and animals need to survive.
Why does Cellular Respiration occur? This occurs because it is an energy source for plants and animals, and it gives it energy for the plant to survive.
Where does Cellular Respiration occur? In the mitochondria of a cell.
When does Cellular Respiration occur? Any time of the day.
What does Cellular Respiration need to happen? Glucose and Oxygen.
How does Glucose and Oxygen form into Water, Carbon Dioxide, and ATP energy? It chemically combines and glucose is broken down.
