| what is saturated color? | the colors used on the color wheel because they have no white or black added to them |

| what is a tint? | a saturated color that is mixed with pure white. |
| what is a shade? | a saturated color that is mixed with pure black |

| what is a complementary color harmony? | using 2 colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel. |
| what is a triadic color harmony? | using 3 colors that are located within equal distances from each other on the color wheel. |
| what is a split complementary color harmony? | using any color and the 2 colors located next to that colors complement on the color wheel. |
| what is a neutral color harmony? | any combination of black gray white brown and tan |
