dorsal | locate at or toward the back of the body or body part; posterior |
lateral | relating to or located at the side of the body or body part |
medial | relating to or located at or near the middle or midline of the body or body part |
posterior | see dorsal |
prefix | a word element placed at the beginning of a word to change the meaning of the word |
proximal | the part nearest to the centre or to the point of origin |
root | a word element containing the basic meaning of the word |
suffix | a word element placed at the end of a root to change the meaning of the word |
ventral | see anterior |
