decimal a number with one or more digits to the right of the decimal point
decimal point symbol used to separate dollars from cents in money and to separate the ones place from the tenths place in decimals
fraction number that names part of a whole or part of a group
tenth one of ten equal parts
hundredth one of one hundred equal parts
thousandth one of one thousand equal parts
equivalent decimals two or more decimals that name the same amount
mixed number number represented by a whole number and a fraction
equal to (=) having the same value
not equal to (≠) a symbol that indicates one quantity is not equal to another
