not equal to (≠) a symbol that indicates one quantity is not equal to another
compare to describe whether numbers are equal to, less than, or greater than each other
equal to (=) a symbol used to compare two quantities when the first is equal to second
greater than (>) a symbol used to compare two quantities when the first is greater than the second
less than (<) a symbol used to compare two numbers, with the lesser number given first
order a particular arrangement or placement of things one after the other
place value the value of a digit in a number, based on the location of the digit
