despedir (to fire/(to say goodbye): first person singular despido El jefe despide al empleado. The boss fires the employee.
elegir (to elect): second person (tú) eliges Tú eliges el restaurante para cenar. You choose the restaurant for dinner.
impeder (to impede): third person singular impide La lluvia impide que salgamos. The rain prevents us from going out.
medir (to measure): third person plural miden Los científicos miden la temperatura del agua. The scientists measure the water temperature.
pedir (to ask for): first person singular pido Siempre pido un café en la mañana. I always ask for coffee in the morning.
perseguir (to follow): second person (tú) persigues Tú persigues tus sueños. You pursue your dreams.
repetir (to repeat): third person singular repite Ella repite la lección. She repeats the lesson
reírse (to laugh): second person (tú) te ríes Cuando ves una comedia, tú ríes mucho. When you watch a comedy, you laugh a lot.
seguir (to follow): third person singular sigue El perro sigue a su dueño. The dog follows its owner.
servir (to serve): first person singular sirvo En el restaurante, yo sirvo la comida. At the restaurant, I serve the food.
sonreírse (to smile): third person plural se sonríen Los niños se sonríen en el parque. The children smile at each other in the park.
vestirse (to get dressed): first person singular me visto Por la mañana, yo me visto rápido. In the morning, I get dressed quickly.
decir (to say): first person singular digo Siempre digo la verdad. I always say the truth.
conseguir (to get): first person singular consigo Ella consigue un nuevo trabajo. She gets a new job.
elegir (to choose): first person singular elijo Yo elijo la pizza de pepperoni. I choose the pepperoni pizza.
seguir (to follow): first person singular sigo Después de la pausa, yo sigo trabajando. After the break, I continue working.
reirse (to smile): first person singular me río (All present tense forms have an accent) Cuando veo una comedia, yo me río mucho. When I watch a comedy, I laugh a lot.
