What do we call an atom with an incomplete outer shell? Unstable
Metal oxides have a pH of ______ than 7, making them _________ more, alkaline
Non-metal oxides have a pH of _______ than 7, making them ________ less, acidic
What are Group 1 elements called? Alkali metals
What are Group 7 elements called? Halogens
What are Group 0 elements called? Noble gases
Group 0 elements react with almost nothing, meaning they are what? Inert
Why are noble gases unreactive? They have a complete outer shell, meaning it takes a lot of energy to remove or add electrons
