Mode | the value or values that occur most ofen in a set of data. |
Measures of central tendency | the mean median and mode of a set of data. |
Box and whiskers plot | a way to describe the concentration and the spread of data in a set |
lower quartile | the median of the scores below the median |
upper quartile | the median of the scores above the median |
Statistics | Numerical facts about people places or things |
probability | the chance or likelihood of an event occurring |
Theoretial probability | the predicted likelihood of what sould happen in an experiemnt |
Complement of a probability event | The set of coutcomes that are not in the event |
Sample spcae | the set of all possible outcomes of an experiment |
Dependent event | In a probablilty experiment the outcome of one event is affected by the outcome of any other event |
Independent event | In a probability experiment the outcomeof any event does not affect the outcome of any other event |
