What did Malala's family bring to Shangla and why? Presents for her relatives and gifts of foods and medicines they could not get in the village.
What did Malala call the bus taking her family to Shangla? The Flying Coach
How long did the trip to Shangla take? 4 hours
What did her cousins consider Malala as because she did not go barefoot and she wore clothes from a bizarre? a city girl
What pretend game did Malala play with her cousins when she visited them for a holiday? wedding
How did Malala feel while she was in Shangla? Free
What couldn't most of the girls from the village do? This also included Malala's mom which was an unspoken sadness between them. read
What did the boy in "Shaka Laka Boom Boom" have in which Malala was obsessed with owning? a magic pencil
When Malala took the garbage to the dump, what made her jump? a girl digging in the trash
By taking the trash to the dump, and seeing the situation at hand, what message did this give to Malala? That she had to do something to change the world.
After she took her father back to the dump, what did she notice about her father as they walked back to their home? a look of determination that he was going to help.
Why did some of the long-time students not return to the school her father owned? Some of the rich parents took their children to another school, because they would not share a school with the children whose parents clean their houses.
