rotation Earth rotates on imaginary axis running through the North & South Poles. It gives us a 24 hour day
orbit the path that a celestial body (planet, moon, comet, asteroid, etc) follows as it travels around another celestial body in space.
phase the change in the sunlit area of one celestial body, such as the moon, as seen from another celestial body
eclipse when the shadow of one celestial body falls on another

annular solar eclipse Earth, moon, & sun are in a straight lined, but the moon is farther away from Earth in its orbit, so the moon’s shadow does not completely cover the sun
partial solar eclipse any solar eclipse that is observed from the penumbra, since from their point of view, the moon only blocks part of the sun’s light
total lunar eclipse this occurs when the whole moon passes through the umbra
partial lunar eclipse only part of the moon passes through the umbra
penumbral lunar eclipse the moon passes through the penumbra - difficult to see
season a division of the year that is associated with particular weather patterns and daylight hours
