Boost n. an increase or growth v. to increase or make grow

Candor n. the trait of being honest and frank

Clinical adj. emotionally unattached (usu. used in medical or scientific setting)

Comparable adj. able to be compared
Competent adj. sufficiently qualified

Anaphora The repetition of the same word or phrase at the beginning of two or more lines or clauses. “Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to South Carolina, go back to Georgia…” -MLK’s “I Have a Dream” Speech
Anastrophe The order of the noun and the adjective in the sentence is exchanged to create a dramatic effect. “The path to the dark side, fear is.” - Master Yoda
Anthropomorphism Attributing human characteristics to an animal or inanimate object. Sometimes used interchangeably with personification but usually refers to animals behaving like people.
Aphorism A statement of truth or opinion expressed in a concise and witty manner. All that glitters is not gold.
Aside An actor's speech, directed to the audience, that is not heard by other actors on stage. Usually a brief comment rather than a speech.
