7th Amendment Citizens guaranteed to a trail by jury; speedy civil trial( trial when someone sues someone else)
8th Amendment No excessive bail or cruel and unusual punishment
9th Amendment states can do what they want if not forbidden by constitution-this covers a lot
10th Amendment any power not granted to federal govt. belongs to the states or the people
monarchy form of govt where a single person rules- ex; kings/queens
monarch rules for life
dynasty once it becomes hereditary, a monarch is called a dynasty

Bill of Rights limits the power of the govt over the people
Electoral College limits the power of the people by indirectly electing the president
Majority Rule its the principle that the majority of the electorate makes decisions that bind the entire electorate
Popular majority is a majority of all citizens or voters
Representative majority a majority of elected officials
pluralistic majority having many diverse backgrounds and beliefs
equality refers to political equality rather than the equality of circumstance
