Accounting helps to track income and expenses so businesses can manage cash flow and stay on top of tax deadlines using skills such as auditing, securing investments and buying assets.

Balance sheet a statement of the assets, liabilities, and capital of a business or other organization at a particular point in time, detailing the balance of income and expenditure over the preceding period.
Barrier to market entry technology challenges, government regulations, patents, start-up costs, or education and licensing requirements.
bottom line a company's net income, or the "bottom" figure on a company's income statement.
business model a company's plan for making a profit.
business plan a strategic document that outlines a company's goals, strategies for achieving them, and the time frame for their achievement
business structure the legal framework or organizational format that a company adopts, which determines its ownership, taxation, and liability arrangements,
Capital investment the expenditure of money to fund a company's long-term growth
capital structure the amount of debt and/or equity employed by a firm to fund its operations and finance its assets
Cash flow the movement of money in and out of a company.
cost estimate a project management process that organizations use to provide customers with an estimate of how much completing a project is likely to cost
equality the value that would be returned to a company's shareholders if all of the assets were liquidated and all of the company's debts were paid off.
executive summary a brief overview of a long document, such as a business plan, proposal, or report
finance borrowing & lending, investing, raising capital, and selling & trading securities
financial resources the funds and assets that finance an organisation's activities and investments
financing cost the interest and other costs incurred by the Company while borrowing funds.
fixed assets a tangible piece of property, plant, or equipment (PP&E) that you own or manage with expectations that it'll continuously help generate income
funding the provision of capital.
human resources the division of a business responsible for finding, recruiting, screening, and training job applicants.
income statement the total amount of earnings a company makes minus expenses
letter of intent a document written in business letter format that declares your intent to do a specific thing
liabilities the legal debts a company owes to third-party creditors.
life cycle the course of events that leads from the beginning to the end of a product, business, or industry.
