Proactive | acting in anticipation of future problems, needs, or changes |
Empowerment | the power granted by one person or institution to another |
Discussion | the act of talking about something with another person or a group of people |
Proposal | a formal suggestion, plan, or idea |
Think outside the box | to think differently, unconventionally, or from a new perspective |
Change of minds | a decision to reverse an earlier decision |
Get buy-in | encouraging others to support your vision of something. |
Look at the big picture | To consider the general, overall, or long-term scope of something |
Do a reality check | something which shows you that the real situation is different from what you believed or hoped |
Convey information | to express feelings, thoughts, or information to other people |
Agenda | a list of items to be discussed at a formal meeting. |
Surveys | to ask people questions in order to find out about their opinions and behavior |
Chairman | a person, especially a man, who is in charge of a meeting |
Minute Taker | the person who is responsible for documenting the participants of each meeting, the content of the meeting, and especially the decisions made |
Topic Leader/Presenter | person in charge of presenting one or several points during a meeting |
Full-time participants | participants who stay at a meeting from its beginning to its end |
Part-time participant | participants who leave a meeting once a particular topic is covered |
Determine the attendees | to write down who is attending a meeting |
Minutes | written record of what was discussed during a meeting |
Open (public) voting | voting with a show of hands (everyone can see how you voted) |
Secret (closed) voting | voting by putting a ballot in a ballot box |
