Inert | Having little or no ability to react to chemical changes. |
Kinetic Energy | Energy that an object has due to its movement; more simply, energy in use. |
Liquid | A state of matter with no definite shape, but definite volume. |
Matter | Anything that has mass and/or takes up space. |
Melt | The temperature or act needed to change from solid to liquid |
Molecule | A neutral group of two or more atoms held together by covalent bonds or a sort of tie that creates elements. |
Particle | Smallest possible unit of matter. |
Particle Motion | Ways in which any atoms, ions (atoms with electrical charge), or molecules move. |
Phase | A physically distinctive form of matter, this includes solid, |
Phase Change | A change in the state of matter without changing chemical composition. |
Pressure | The physical force exerted from an object. |
Pure Substance | A substance made of only one kind of matter and having definite properties. |
Solid | A state of matter that has definite shape and volume |
System | A group of parts that work together as a whole. E.G - AI, Machinery, Vehicles |
Temperature | A measure of the average energy of motion of the particle in a substance |
Thermal Energy | The total kinetic energy of every particle in an object. |
Vapor | Gaseous state of substance that is liquid or a solid at room temperature |
Conduction | The transfer of thermal energy between objects. |
Convection | The transfer of thermal energy by the movement of [fluid]. |
Radiation | The transfer of energy via electromagnetic waves. |
