¿Qué significa que el manto sea dúctil? Es sólido pero fluye bajo presión y calor extremos (piense en plastilina)

¿En qué estado de la materia se encuentra el núcleo interno? Sólido
¿Cuál es la función principal de la corteza? Tiene las placas tectónicas de la Tierra
¿Cuál es la función principal del manto? La convección en el manto impulsa el movimiento de las placas tectónicas
¿Qué es una corriente de convección? Los materiales menos densos/más calientes suben, se enfrían y se vuelven más densos, y luego se hunden antes de repetir el ciclo.
¿Qué genera la convección en la corriente exterior? Campo magnético de la Tierra
¿Qué causa que el campo magnético de la Tierra se invierta? La dirección de la convección en el núcleo externo cambia
¿Cuál es la función principal del núcleo interno? Almacena y conduce el calor interno de la Tierra.
