kinetic energy | the energy of movement |
potential energy | the energy of an object due to its position |
sound energy | a type of kinetic energy resulting in the vibration of particles in the air |
electromagnetic energy | energy transmitted through waves through space |

energy transformation | when energy changes from one form to another form |
energy transfer | the movement of energy from one object or system to another object or system |
law of concervation of energy | states that energy cannot be created or destroyed; it can only be transferred from one system or form to another, the total amount of energy before and after a transformation remains the same. |
