What is the result if Chlorine is present? | Chlorine makes the blue litmus paper go red then finally white(Chlorine bleeches the blue litmus paper.) |

How to test for ammonia? | A peice of damp red litmus paper is placed into the test tube or held over it's mouth. |
What is the result if ammonia is present? | Ammonia turns the damp red litmus paper blue. |
How to carry out a flame test? | - A platinum or nichrome wire is dipped into concentrated Hydrochloride solution. - Then it is placed into the salt that is to be tested so that some salt stickes on the end. - The wire and the salt are then held over a NON-Luminous bunsen burner flame. |
