CPCTC | If two triangles are congruent, then the corresponding parts of the triangles are congruent. |
Biconditional | A statement that can be written in the form "if and only q". |
Contrapositive | a statement that states "if not q, then not p" instead of "if and only q" |
ASA Triangle Congruence | If two angles and the included side of one triangle are congruent to two angles and the included side of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent. |
SAS Triangle Congruence | If two sides and the included angle of one triangle are congruent to two sides and the included angle of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent. |
SSS Triangle Congruence | If three sides of one triangle are congruent to three sides of another triangle then the triangles are congruent. |
Perpendicular Bisector | a line segment that is perpendicular to another segment at the segments midpoint. |
AAS Triangle Congruence | If two angles and a non-included side of one triangle are congruent to the corresponding angles and non-included side of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent. |
HL Triangle Congruence | If the hypotenuse and a leg of a right triangle are congruent to the hypotenuse and a leg of another right triangle, then the triangles are congruent. |
Hypotenuse | In a right triangle, the side opposite the right angle. |
Legs | The two sides that form the sides of the right angle. |
Distance Formula | d=√((x2 – x1)² + (y2 – y1)²) |
Pythagorean Theorem | a²+b²=c² |
