Herbs That Regulate Blood & Stop Bleeding

Sweet, slightly bitter, warm. Enters LR/ST/LI Indicated for Cold type bleeding. San Qi (aka Three Seven)
Bitter, sweet, COOL. So can be used for XS or XU bleeding d/t Heat. Bai Ji
Bitter and COLD. So for bleeding d/t XS and Heat. Enters LR/LI Huai Hua Mi
Bitter and Cold. HT/LR (Contraindicated in pregnancy) Qian Cao Gen
Bitter, ASTRINGENT, Cold. HT/LR/LI Ce Bai Ye (Lateral Fir Leaves aka Arborvitae Twigs)
Stop Bleeding. Bitter, Acrid, Warm. (So useful for Bi Syndrome.) Ai Ye (Mugwort Leaf aka Artemisiae)
Invigorate Blood. Regulate Qi. Acrid & Warm. Contraindicated in pregnancy Chuan Xiong aka Szechuan Lovage Root
"To treat headache, this must be added." (It's Acrid/Warm and goes to LR/GB/PC Chuan Xiong aka Szechuan Lovage Root
Cools the Blood for Heat Stasis. Nourishes the Blood to Calm the Spirit. Is bitter and slightly cold. LR/HT/PC Dan Shen (Cinnabar (or Salvia?) Root)
BLOOD ACTIVATORS>>>> Both activate/invigorate Blood. One also cools the Blood. One stops pain. Which is which? Chuan Xiong is acrid & warm so it warms the blood, expels wind and alleviates pain. Dan Shen (bitter slightly cold) cools the Blood and calms the spirit. Both are LR/PC but Chuan Xiong is also GB; Dan Shen is also HT.
"Invigorates the Blood. Regulates Qi." What is it? What are taste/temp/entry meridians? What else does it do? Chuan Xiong. Acrid & Warm. LR/GB/PC. Alleviates Pain. (Expels (Liver) Wind to alleviate pain.) Vertex headaches.
Here's where you might be tripped up: Both invigorate Blood. Only one is in Stop Bleeding category though. One "cools the Blood." One "Clears Heat." One is HT/LR and stops bleeding. Other is HT/LR/PC and soothes irritability. Well the 2nd one is Dan Shen. What goes to HT/LR, invigorates Blood and Clears Heat? (Think of the Bitter Cold Heart: Qian Cao Gen!)
Another potential trip up (both subcategories together): Both invigorate Blood. Both alleviate pain. Both are wam. The acrid/warm one treats headache. The sweet/sl bitter/warm one stops bleeding and REDUCES SWELLING! 1st one is Chuan Xiong. Reduce swelling herbs (there are only 2) end in Qi or Di or Ji. Bai Ji is cool not warm so much be San Qi.
Regulate Blood, Stop Bleeding. Invigorate Blood/Dispel Stasis. Trick question: There are THREE that do this. One is warm, one is neutral, one is cold. Name them. Stop Bleeding/Invigorate Blood/Dispel Stasis. Cold one is Qian Cao Gen. Neutral one is Pu Huang. Warm one is San Qi.
What other herbs in this category are neutral besides Pu Huang and Xue Yu Tan? Ou Jie (one indication only) and Immortal Crane Herb (Xian He Cao)
What are the taste/temp/entry meridians and indications/functions for Xian He Cao? Bitter, Acrid, Neutral. LU/LR/SP. REMEMBER THIS IS THE ONE THAT IS REALLY ASTRINGENT INSTEAD OF ACRID!! So it Stops Leakage, Treats Diarrhea/Dysentery and also Kills Parasites.

Wow... the only other one to go to KIDNEY!! This one is Bitter & Neutral. HT/LR/KD Xue Yu Tan (Charred Blood Extension)
Stops Bleeding. Restrains Leakage. Promotes Urination. (Is bitter & neutral) Only 2 promote urination. And the other one, Bai Mao Gen, is Cold (and SWEET!!) and is only one that doesn't enter LR. So this Promote Urination one must be the burnt hair: Xue Yu Tan

Which 3 "Generate Flesh?" And which of them is best for treating burns? Ce Bai Ye is the "cough, burn cool blood/stop bleeding" one. The other two generate flesh ones are the Ji and the Di: Di Yu and Bai Ji.
What are the two Stop Bleeding herbs that are Astringent? Ou Jie and Ce Bai Ye (could also include Xian He Cao if you wanted)
