Term | Definition |

Ethics | The moral principles applied to a person's actions |
Plagiarism | The unethical act of passing off someone else's work as your own |
Problem Solver | A think that takes all of the knowledge and rescources at hand to design solutions |
Perseverance | The act of continuing to attempt something difficult, even if it takes a long time to succeed of ten after many failures. |
Growth Mindset | The belief that you can learn grow through perseverance |
Facilitating Questions | Questions that are used to guide conversation rather than provide answer |
Constructive Criticism | Suggesting improvements or questioning a decision in a healthy and supportive manner |
Specification | A statement at the top of the input panel that specifies the purpose of the program |
Documentation | A description of all the available libraries for your reference. |
Library | A collection of predefined functions |
Import statement | Using the keyword Import followed by the name of the library being imported. Once the library is imported into the code, the programmer can use any function defined in that library |
Hanging indent | Formatting of a paragraph, citation, or definition for which all lines except the first are indented. |
Type | a general classification of data that describes how it is intended to be used |
List | a collection of objects of the same type |
Empty List | a list with no objects inside |
Integrated | everything needed to write and run your code is put together with a consistant look and feel |
Developement | short for software Developement |
Environment | the window can be maximized and nothing else is needed to run the code |
Editor | the large window where we type our code |
Line number | the number at the beginning of each line |
Run | after we type in our code, we click "Run" button to execute the program. |
Function | A predefined process applied to an imput to produce an output |
Input | An expression or object that results from what the function does to the input |
lettering | the function that shows text a t the centerr of the output panel |
letteringBlock | the function that shows the text at the top of the output panel |
drawingOf | the function that applies the action of forming pictures |
