What are Jesus' 4 names? Lord Jesus Christ Son of God
What is the significance of the name Lord? It translates to the Greek word Kyrios, Hebrew word Adonai, and is used when YHWH, the most holy name was used. Calling Jesus Lord announces that He has the same sovereignty as God.
What is the significance of the name Jesus? It's a form of the Hebrew name Joshua, and means "God saves." This hints at his divine mission to redeem and save humanity from its sins.
What is the significance of the name Christ? It comes from the Greek word Christos and translates to the Hebrew name Mashiach (Anointed One). This shows that He is the messiah and the anointed one born from King David who would fulfill God's promises.
What is the significance of the name Son of God? It shows that He is the one and only Son of God and shares the same divine nature as God the Father.
