armistice a formal end to war, cease fire
Central powers The defeated alliance of nations in WWI Germany, Ottoman Empire, Austria- Hungary
Communism a sociopolitical model where property is publicly owned and workers are paid according to their abilities and needs.
depression in economics, a long-term, sustained turndown of the economic activity. Many people struggle during this time.
fascism a political movement supporting strong, authoritarian government dictatorship

Nazism a political movement in GERMANY, for the end of WWI through the end of WWII. There was totalitarian government, extreme nationalism, and racial supremacy.
United Soviet Socialist Republic ( U.S.S.R.) the federation of communist countries in Eastern Europe, led by Russia, from the time of the Russian Revolution to it collapse in 1991 at the end of the Cold War
Treaty of Versailles a treaty in 1919 which formally ended WWI. It stated- 1. Germany lost land and territories 2. Germany had to decrease their military 3. Germany had to take blame for WWI 4. Germany had to pay reparations
