Question | Answer |

What is the normal atrial/ventricular rate & what do they mean if abnormal? | normal= 60-100 <60=sinus bradycardia >100= sunus tachycardia |
PR Interval (normal rate and what it means) | Duration 0.12-0.20 seconds (3-5 squares) From beginning of atrial depolarization to beginning of ventricular depolarization. |
QRS Complex (normal duration and what it means) | Duration < or equal to 0.12 seconds (3 small squares) Ventricular depolarization; signal for ventricular systole/contraction |
P Wave (what it means) | Atrial depolarization; signal for atrial contraction/systole |
QT Interval (duration and what it means) | Duration 0.31-0.42 seconds Time for both ventricular depolarization and repolarization to occur |
T Wave (duration and what it means) | Amplitude less than 0.5 millivolts Ventricular repolarization; reset for conduction system |
How to find the PR Interval? | Number of boxes from P to Q x 0.04 seconds |
How to find the QRS complex? | Number of boxes from Q to S x 0.04 seconds |
How to find the QT interval? | Number of boxes between Q and T x 0.04 seconds |
