Function Key special keys on computer & word processor that are used alone or in combinations with other keys to perform special operations such as setting margins, centering, copy, etc
GWAM (gross words a minute ) measure of the rate of keyboarding speed; GWAN = total standards 5 - strokes words keyed & divided by the time required to key those words
Hanging indent a word processing feature that positions the first line of a segment of text at the left margin or other point & indents the remaining lines a specific number of spaces to the right; frequently used with enumerations

Hardware the physical equipment that makes up a computer or word processing system
Highlighting identifying on-screen text by changing color or light intenses
Indent to set copy farther to the right that the left margin; for example; the first line of a paragraph

Monitor a TV like screen used to display text, data & graphic images; also called CRT, display screen & video display terminal (VDT)
Numeric Keypad an arrangement of figure keys & special keys, such as +,-,&,= to the right of most microcomputer keyboards; used for keying all number coy and calculations
Output data or document that leave an information system; usually presented to the user as a screen display or a print out
Pica a type size that prints 10 character per inch
Print to produce a paper copy of information on screen or stored in computer, word processor, or typewriter memory
Printer a device attached to a computer or word processor that produces a paper (hard) copy of electronically stored text
