2003 Gulf War The second Gulf War started when Saddam Hussein didn’t leave Iraq in the 90 minute deadline when he trespassed.
Arab Spring Started when a man set himself on fire. The uprising was spread through words in cell phones. This led a lot of leaders to step down or to get killed.
Balfour Declaration The Balfour declaration was a British Mandate that was meant to give Jews self-rule in palestine.
Cold War The Cold War was a geopolitical conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union that spanned in the mid -1950’s to the late 1980’s.
Establishment of Israel The Establishment of Israel was when The Declaration of the Establishment of the state of Israel was written and David Ben-Gurion announced that Israel would become its own establishment for the Jews in 1948.
Iran Hostage Crisis The Iran Hostage Crisis was an event where a group of militarized Iranian college students overtook the U.S Embassy in Tehran.
Middle East Mandates 1920 Syria and Lebanon were involved and there were three classes: Class A, Class B, Class C.
OPEC Formation The OPEC Formation is an agreement between countries in the Middle East to ensure the oil-markets are stable.
Ottoman Empire The Ottoman Empire is one of the mightiest and longest-lasting dynasties in world history, ruling large areas of the Middle East, Eastern Europe and North Africa for more than 600 years.
Suez Canal Crisis The Suez Canal Crisis began in October 1956, when Israeli, French, and British troops stormed into the Sinai Peninsula towards the Suez Canal.
Six Day War The date was June 5th, 1967, in Israel, where a war started against Israel and the neighboring states of Egypt, like Syria, Jordan, and more. It started because there was a heightened tension so a guy got mad.
Sykes-Picot Accord A secret convention between France and Britain during World War 1.
Syrian Civil War This war happened because of assad. The war started in March 2011. This war occurred in syria. At first it was a peaceful protest then it became a huge protest. They were shooting at the protest. Many people got arrested.
UN Partition of Palestine We did the partition of palestine it was about how the 5 league of the arabs and they declined the full civil rights so they declined the resolution it occured in november of 1947.
War on Terrorism The war on terror, also known as the global war on terrorism is an international military campaign launched by the United States government after the September 11, 2001 Terrorist attacks.
World War I in the Middle East The ottoman empire fell which threw the middle east into discord which they still suffer from today. The ottoman empire had actually been around for four centuries before it collapsed. That's impressive.
Zionism Zionism is a nation/ political party for the Jews.It was established because a poet/ activist,Theodore Herzl, saw jews getting persecuted and he didn’t want anti semitism towards the Jews.
