Part 2 of 3rd grade math terms

acute angle An angle that measures less than 90 degrees.
obtuse angle An angle than measures greater than 90 degrees.
point An exact location in space represented by a dot.
line A straight path that extends forever in both directions.
acute Triangle A triangle with no angle measuring 90 degrees or greater.
obtuse Triangle A triangle with one obtuse angle.
right traingle A triangle with 1 right angle.
line segment A part of a line with 2 end points.
ray A straight path that extends forever in one direction from its endpoint.
angle A figure formed by 2 rays
slide A way to move a figure to another location without changing the figure's size.
parallel lines Lines that are always the same distance apart and never touch.
prependicular lines Lines that form a right angle.
intersecting lines Lines that meet or cross.
right angle An angle that measures 90 degrees.
